Вард ван дер Харст родился 26 декабря 1988 года в деревне Донген возле Бреды. Виллем Ван Хэннингем родился 25 июня 1987 года. Первые музыкальные работы Варда: «Ensure» и «Expose» были замечены Tiesto и отобраны его лейблом Black Hole Recordings. . Выйдя в свет осенью 2007 года, треки стали хитами. Вард и Виллем познакомились на фестивале Trance Energy в 2007 году и уже спустя несколько месяцев написали свой первый трек Mustang. На дуэт обратил внимание Армин ван Бюрен, который помог с их продвижением, ставя их работы в шоу A State of Trance и на своих выступлениях. В результате W&W были подписаны на лейбл Armada Music. К 2011 году W&W выпустили свой первый альбом Impact. C 2012 года W&W запустили свой собственный лейбл Mainstage (Rave Culture) Music. Также, с января 2010 года W&W ведут собственное радиошоу «Mainstage (Rave Culture)» на Afterhours FM. С 25 октября 2014 года «Mainstage (Rave Culture)».
